Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 1, 2026. This policy covers the GiftMigo gift finder at mygiftmigo.com. GiftMigo helps visitors explore gift ideas and keep a personal shopping plan; it does not process purchases.

Answers and data on your device

The questionnaire, optional interests, filters and recommendation feedback are processed in your browser’s page memory. The GiftMigo application does not send these answers to a GiftMigo server or save them across a page reload. Starting over resets the questionnaire; reloading also clears session-only answers and feedback.

When available, browser local storage retains favorite idea IDs, planner notes, purchase progress and a gift deadline under GiftMigo storage keys. This supports the features you use and is separate from cookies. Saved data has no automatic expiration in this version: it remains until you remove it, clear this site’s browser data, or the browser removes it. It is not synchronized between browsers or devices by GiftMigo. Other people using the same browser profile may see it. Avoid entering sensitive information or identifying details about children.

You can edit or remove saved items and notes in the planner. “Clear saved data” clears the planner’s favorites, notes, progress and deadline after confirmation; it does not clear session-only questionnaire answers. Use “Start over” or reload for those answers. Browser settings let you remove all site storage or block it, which can prevent favorites and planner details from being retained. Copy and print controls share content with your clipboard or chosen print destination only when you use them.

Hosting, security and technical information

The site is delivered through ChatGPT Sites hosting. Hosting, delivery and security providers may process an IP address, browser or device information, requested URLs, timestamps and diagnostic or security logs to deliver and protect the website. Their processing, retention periods, locations and any platform-level storage are governed by their own services and policies. GiftMigo’s application source does not include an analytics SDK, an advertising pixel, a Rakuten script or code that sets optional tracking cookies. This source review is not a guarantee that the hosting platform or external websites never use cookies or analytics.

For information about the hosting provider’s practices and privacy request channels, see the OpenAI Privacy Policy. Provider-side retention and international processing have not been independently audited by GiftMigo.

External searches and affiliate attribution

Amazon, Etsy and Google Shopping buttons open external websites. The search phrase in a link can include a gift idea and preferences used to refine it. The destination receives that phrase, your IP address and browser information when you visit; it may process activity under its own privacy and cookie policies. GiftMigo does not send your entire questionnaire, saved list or private planner notes through these links.

Amazon links include the affiliate tag giftmigo-20. Amazon may use cookies or similar technologies and click or purchase information to attribute eligible orders and calculate commissions. GiftMigo may receive affiliate reports under Amazon’s program, but does not collect your checkout or payment details through this finder. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

The current Etsy buttons are ordinary search links, not Etsy affiliate links. GiftMigo has not enabled Rakuten tracking, pixels or affiliate redirects while approval and official links are pending. Before adding optional tracking that requires consent, GiftMigo will implement the applicable consent controls, including rejection and withdrawal, and update this policy. Visiting this page or clicking a shopping link is not treated by GiftMigo as blanket consent to optional tracking.

You can choose not to open affiliate links and instead visit a retailer directly and search there. Manage any destination-site consent and privacy preferences on that site. See Amazon’s Privacy Notice, Etsy’s Privacy Policy, Google’s Privacy Policy and Rakuten Advertising’s Privacy Policy.

Visitor rights and controls

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; opt out of certain sales, sharing or targeted advertising; and complain to a data protection authority. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions. You can directly view, change and delete GiftMigo’s local planner data using the controls above. GiftMigo cannot remotely retrieve or delete information stored only in your browser.

For information held by hosting providers, retailers or affiliate services, their linked privacy notices explain request and appeal channels. For privacy questions or requests to exercise your rights, email privacy@mygiftmigo.com. For general questions, email contact@mygiftmigo.com. Please describe your request without including passwords, payment details or other unnecessary sensitive information. The operator’s legal details remain to be confirmed and published.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date and policy when the site’s data practices change. Required consent will be requested before activating optional tracking; a policy update alone will not be treated as consent.
